What you believe about yourself becomes the ceiling of what's possible for you.
What I'm Noticing
I had coffee with a client last week who's brilliant at what she does. Like, genuinely exceptional. But when we started talking about her next career move, she kept circling back to the same phrase: "I'm just not ready yet."
And I sat there listening, and I could feel it. That familiar weight of a limiting belief doing its quiet, relentless work.
We're not actually stuck because we lack the skills or the opportunity or even the courage. We're stuck because somewhere along the way, we picked up a belief about ourselves or the world that's running the show. And we don't even realize it's there.
I don’t have enough time. Money is hard to make. I can't trust people. I'm not ready yet.
These beliefs feel like facts. They feel true. But they're not facts. They're just thoughts we've been thinking for so long that they've hardened into our reality.
And the thing about limiting beliefs is they're self-fulfilling. When you believe you never have enough time, you create behaviors that reinforce that feeling. You overcommit. You say yes when you mean no. You fill every gap in your calendar because the belief tells you that's what you have to do.
The belief creates the thought. The thought creates the feeling. The feeling drives the action. And the action reinforces the belief.
It's a cycle. And most of us are swimming in it without even knowing it.
What's Even Possible?
What if the beliefs you've been carrying aren't actually true?
I know that sounds simple. Maybe too simple. But stay with me here.
The reason limiting beliefs have so much power is because we never question them. We just accept them as the way things are. But beliefs aren't permanent. They're not hardwired. They're just patterns of thinking that we've practiced so much they feel like truth.
And if you can practice a limiting belief into existence, you can practice a new one.
I'm not talking about toxic positivity or pretending your struggles don't exist. I'm talking about something deeper. I'm talking about systematically examining the beliefs that are quietly dictating your life and asking yourself: Is this actually true? Or is this just a story I've been telling myself?
Every time you operate from a limiting belief, you're making decisions from a place of scarcity instead of possibility. You're saying no to opportunities before they even fully form. You're reinforcing the very thing that's keeping you stuck.
But when you start to challenge those beliefs and find evidence for their opposite, something shifts. You begin to see that maybe, just maybe, there's another way. And the more you focus on that new belief, the more your actions align with it. And the more your actions align with it, the more evidence you create that it's true.
You're not just changing your thoughts. You're changing your reality.
The Four A's process is one way to do this work. It gives you a systematic path to identify your limiting beliefs, challenge them, and realign your actions with what you actually want to create.
Micro-Moves
This week, I'm inviting you to work through the Four A's with one limiting belief that's been holding you back. Just one. Pick the belief that feels the heaviest right now.
Here's how:
Awareness: Write down the limiting belief. Get specific. Don't filter it or make it sound better than it is. Just name it.
Attitude: Write down the exact opposite of that belief. This might feel uncomfortable or even untrue at first. That's okay. Write it anyway.
Action: Now find evidence that the opposite is actually true. This might take some time and some digging, but I promise you, the evidence is there.
Alignment: This is where you keep going. You focus your actions toward the opposite of your limiting belief, making small micro-moves. You act as if the new belief is true. And you watch what happens.
Because when you remove the resistance that your limiting belief creates, you create space for something new. You break the pattern.
Let me show you what this looks like in practice:
If your belief is "I never have enough time," the opposite is "I have all the time I need." The evidence? You do actually always get the most important things done. You never miss the critical family events. You might feel rushed, but you show up. Now the micro-move: Look at your calendar this week and consciously eliminate one non-value add task. Just one thing that's making you feel behind but isn't actually moving you forward.
If your belief is "Money is hard to make and I never have enough," the opposite is "I have all the money I need and it flows to me." The evidence? You have a roof over your head. Your bills are paid. You have income flowing in, even if it's not as much as you want yet. Now the micro-move: Shift your focus from scarcity to gratitude. Each time you pay a bill this week, pause and acknowledge that you have the money to cover it.
If your belief is "I can't trust people," the opposite is "Most people are trustworthy." The evidence? Think of the people in your life who have shown up for you. Who kept your confidence. Who followed through. They exist. Now the micro-move: Take one small risk with trust this week. Share something vulnerable with someone safe. Let someone help you.
What limiting belief are you ready to challenge this week?
If you're feeling stuck and can't quite figure out why, there's usually a limiting belief running quietly underneath. That's what my activation sessions are for—to help you see what you can't see on your own. To challenge the beliefs quietly running your life and start unlocking what's actually possible for you.
These aren't coaching sessions where I tell you what to do. They're catalytic conversations where we dismantle what's been holding you back. One belief. One breakthrough.
With deep belief in your magnificence,
Laura
